Goblin

What is Goblin?

A social app for music. See what your friends are really playing, rate and talk about songs, join your fandom, and find people with your taste. We call it the home page of music.

Is it free?

Yes. Goblin is free, with no subscription and no in-app purchases. Uploading music and the artist tools are free too.

Is Goblin a streaming app?

No. Goblin sits on top of the apps you already use. You can hear 30 seconds of any song, open it in Apple Music, Spotify or YouTube, and play songs that artists upload to Goblin in full.

Do I need Apple Music?

No. You can sign up, post, rate songs, follow friends and join fandoms without it.

Connecting Apple Music (it needs an active subscription) adds the automatic part: Goblin picks up what you play, can show it to your friends if you choose, and builds your own Vibe Check.

How do I sign up?

Download Goblin on your iPhone and sign in with Apple. Pick a nickname, add your date of birth, and you’re in. If a friend gives you their GoblinID, enter it and you’ll follow each other right away.

Is there an Android version?

Goblin is on iPhone and iPad only for now. It needs iOS 16.6 or later, and the Home Screen widget needs iOS 17.

Which languages does it speak?

English and Spanish. Goblin follows your phone’s language.

How old do I need to be?

13 or older. A few features, like being suggested to people you don’t know yet, are for 18 and older.

Privacy

Who can see what I listen to?

Only the people you choose, and only once you switch on “Share what I play”. It’s off until you turn it on.

With it on, your followers see your recent songs in Friends lately and in their Vibe Check, and people in the same song or fandom room can see you. Switch it off and you disappear from all of it right away. People you block never see you.

Can I stop Goblin reading my Apple Music?

Yes. Disconnect Apple Music in Edit profile and Goblin stops reading your listening. The history it already has stays until you delete your account. The privacy policy has the details.

Vibe Check, fandoms, the widget

What is a Vibe Check?

Two things. The global Vibe Check is a snapshot, twice a day, of the most listened artists, songs and genres across Goblin.

Your own Vibe Check is your top artists and songs, as a card you can post on your story. You can make one on our home page too.

What are fandoms?

A home for each fanbase: memes, theories, concert memories and listening rooms where fans play the same song together, right next to the music.

What does the widget do?

It puts Friends lately on your Home Screen: your friends’ latest songs, live. Tap a record to hear 30 seconds, or like a song without opening the app. It needs iOS 17.

Artists

Can I upload my music?

Yes, if you made it or have permission to share it. Make your artist page in the app, then upload MP3 or M4A files, up to 50 MB each.

Uploading is free and there’s no limit on how many songs you put out. Someone from Goblin listens to each song before it goes live.

My artist page is already on Goblin. Can I claim it?

Yes. Open your page and tap “Claim this page”. Goblin gives you a code: send it to us from your official Instagram or X and we confirm it, usually within 48 hours.

Does Goblin pay per stream?

No. Goblin is where fans find you and talk about your music. It doesn’t pay per stream, and it takes no cut of the tips fans send you. More for artists.
